A Weekend Away Brings New Perspective and Tools for Daily Living

Greetings my dear friends!

This past weekend I was blessed to go to the coast for a weekend away with the gals (about 40). The theme for our retreat was "Calm in the Storm". Such an appropriate title for many of us these days.

The Theme verses was, "They Cried out..God stilled the storm to a whisper..." Psalm 107:28 & 29

Can you imagine God calming our storms to a whisper if we would only stop and cry out to him instead of trying to row our own boat - this may be fine when there is a gentle stream, but when life is anything but a dream...

Much of the point was calling on God before the storms come. Having a close relationship with our Father especially when times are good, so that we are better prepared for the storm. The great thing about God, though, is that even if we wait, he is faithful to respond.

I pray we will all draw near to God at all times! Pray without ceasing and keep our spiritual muscles in shape!

I wanted to share a short article I wrote about this weekend, which includes a "survival kit for everyday" that was passed out to us at the retreat. Click here to read. Feel free to print that list out if it blesses you

May God bless you and may you feel his loving arms around you!

Hugs, Teresa
